Joanna Veleris

(She / her)

With a Bachelors in Fine Art from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, a Masters of Design, and a Masters in Business Administration - I take a multidisciplinary approach to research, strategy, and design.

A passion for creating personalized products that prioritize inclusivity, my research interests center around understanding the dynamics that lead to identity-related discrepancies between mind, perception, and body, and how to leverage design to bridge those gaps.

I have the critical research skills to help your company identify what β€œfit” means to your customers and the tactical strategy and design skills to implement those findings into your products, services, experiences and business models that they provide the best fit with your customers and users.

I am a researcher, problem solver, and a maker. I stay curious and open-minded, so to always learn more and pick up new skills and approaches.

When I am not working, I like to be learning and doing forms of art making; including, but not limited to copper enameling and light metals work, knitting, sewing, silk-screen painting, 3d printing and more. What drives these hobbies is my passion for making things for others - an attribute also reflected in my professional practice. As well as a passion to learn new skills, methods and practices.
